Moneylender API Overview

Moneylender's built-in API functions similarly to other JSON-based financial services APIs across the industry. Submit and request data using HTTPS requests from any web client.

In order to use the API, the host instance of Moneylender must be run as the system administrator. You can modify Moneylender's shortcut to always start the program as an administrator for extra convenience. You can also right-click the icon or shortcut and choose "Run as Administrator" to enable Moneylender to listen for API requests.

To get started, set the port and certificate to use for encryption on the API. The API cannot be accessed through non-encrypted HTTP requests. Only encrypted HTTPS requests are supported.

After setting the port and enabling the API, click Portfolio > Make Available on Network from the main menu to tell Moneylender to begin listening for API connections.
