If you used Moneylender for your 2021 Form 1098s (or if you created your portfolio during 2022), you might see the printable template says "2021" on it even though you're printing templates for the 2022 tax year.
The 2022 form is identical to 2021, and Moneylender uses the <LastYear> tag to put the year on the printed form. You can safely print/email using the 2021 template. Like the printable 1098 forms, the official 1096 form did not change from 2021 to 2022.
The 2022 official IRS forms changed slightly, so you'll notice the 1098 wizard imports a 2022 official form even when you already have a 2021 official template.
This is by design. Moneylender's 1098 wizard only imports new templates if the existing templates in your portfolio are outdated.
Form 1098 incorrectly labeled as "2021 Form 1098 - Printable" instead of 2022
